It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him,‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

異日爾子若問爾曰、此何意也、則告之曰、耶和華以其手力、導我出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、

厥後若爾子孫詰爾、行此曷故、爾宜告之、耶和華以大能導我出埃及、脫我於賤役、

他日、爾子若相問曰、行此何為、爾則告之曰、因主以大能導我出為奴之伊及、

“ In days to come, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

“ In days to come, your child will ask you,‘ What does this mean?’ Say to them,‘ The Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt. That’s the land where we were slaves.

And when in time to come your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ you shall say to him,‘ By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

“ And in the future, your children will ask you,‘ What does all this mean?’ Then you will tell them,‘ With the power of his mighty hand, the Lord brought us out of Egypt, the place of our slavery.

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of his hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ then you shall say to him,‘ With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall say to him,‘ By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And it shall be, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of His hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What[ is] this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

In the future, when your son asks you‘ What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘ With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.

Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.

that this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask in the future, saying,‘ What do you mean by these stones?’

It will happen, when your children ask you,‘ What do you mean by this service?’that you shall say,‘ It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.

When your son asks you in time to come, saying,“ What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Yahweh our God has commanded you mean?”then you shall tell your son,“ We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;and Yahweh showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.

and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Yahweh.”

One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.

It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.

He spoke to the children of Israel, saying,“ When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying,‘ What do these stones mean?’Then you shall let your children know, saying,‘ Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.For Yahweh your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you until you had crossed over, as Yahweh your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had crossed over,that all the peoples of the earth may know that Yahweh’s hand is mighty, and that you may fear Yahweh your God forever.’”

So my righteousness will answer for me hereafter, when you come concerning my hire that is before you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the sheep, that might be with me, will be considered stolen.”

“ If we have not out of concern done this, and for a reason, saying,‘ In time to come your children might speak to our children, saying,“ What have you to do with Yahweh, the God of Israel?
