That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast.

On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they may keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.They shall leave none of it until morning, nor break one of its bones. According to all the ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it.

You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction( for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.And no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day at twilight remain overnight until morning.

And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage— in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said,“ Take, eat; this is My body.”

And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

“ And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

“ You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread; nor shall the fat of My sacrifice remain until morning.

Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, Proclaim and announce the freewill offerings; For this you love, You children of Israel!” Says the Lord GOD.

I am poured out like water, And all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me.

The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying,“ How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”Then Jesus said to them,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
