When you enter the land that the Lord will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony.

The Lord will give you the land, just as he promised. When you enter it, keep this holy day.

Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee;but at the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread; and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to Jehovah thy God; thou shalt do no work therein.Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: from the time thou beginnest to put the sickle to the standing grain shalt thou begin to number seven weeks.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the midst of the land whither ye go in to possess it.

Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes;for ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
