既然你們是無酵的麵，要把舊酵除淨，好使你們成為新團；因為我們逾越節的羔羊－基督已經被殺獻為祭牲了。所以，我們來守這節，不可用舊酵，就是不可用惡毒、邪惡的酵，只用純潔真實的無酵餅。

「不可將我祭牲的血和有酵之物一同獻上。逾越節的祭牲也不可留到早晨。

當晚要吃羔羊的肉；要用火烤了，與無酵餅和苦菜一起吃。

他見猶太人喜歡這事，也去拿住彼得。那時候正是除酵節期間。

你們要守安息日，以它為聖日。凡干犯這日的，必被處死；凡在這日做工的，那人必從百姓中剪除。

凡做這事的，無論是清醒的或回應的，即使獻供物給萬軍之耶和華，耶和華也要將他從雅各的帳棚中剪除。

「正月十四日黃昏的時候，是向耶和華守的逾越節。這月的十五日是向耶和華守的除酵節；你們要吃無酵餅七日。第一日要有聖會，任何勞動的工都不可做；要將火祭獻給耶和華七日。第七日要有聖會，任何勞動的工都不可做。」

「凡以色列家中的任何人，或寄居在他們中間的外人，吃任何的血，我必向那吃血的人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除。

「因一切動物的生命，牠的血就是牠的生命。所以我對以色列人說：無論甚麼動物的血，你們都不可吃，因為一切動物的生命就是牠的血。凡吃血的必被剪除。

你不可在耶和華－你神所賜的各城中，任何一座城裏，獻逾越節的祭，

門徒這才明白他所說的不是要他們防備餅的酵，而是要防備法利賽人和撒都該人的教訓。

你要吃無酵餅七日，在第七日要向耶和華守節。這七日之內，要吃無酵餅；在你的全境內不可見有酵之物，也不可見酵母。當那日，你要告訴你的兒子說：『這樣做是因為耶和華在我出埃及的時候為我所做的事。』這要在你手上作記號，在你額上作紀念，使耶和華的教導常在你口中，因為耶和華用大能的手將你從埃及領出來。所以你每年要按着日期守這條例。」

這時，有幾萬人聚集，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌就先對門徒說：「你們要防備法利賽人的酵，就是假冒為善。

恨不得那騷擾你們的人把自己閹割了。
