The Jews in Susa came together on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar, and they put to death in Susa three hundred men, but they did not lay their hands on the plunder.

在詔書中，王允許各個城市的猶太人，在亞哈隨魯王各省中，在十二月（亞達月）十三日，一天之內，聚集起來，保護自己的性命，除滅、擊殺、消滅所有攻擊猶太人的各族各省的武裝力量，甚至他們的孩童和婦女，並且掠奪他們的財物。

耶和華在我這邊，作我的幫助者，我就會看見那些恨我之人的下場。投靠耶和華，好過依靠人；投靠耶和華，好過依靠高貴的人。列國都圍繞我；我靠耶和華的名必要割除他們！他們圍繞我，是的，他們圍繞我；我靠耶和華的名必要割除他們！他們像蜂群那樣圍繞我，卻像荊棘火那樣被熄滅；我靠耶和華的名必要割除他們！

至於王各省中的其餘猶太人，他們也都聚集起來，保護自己的性命，擺脫他們的仇敵，擊殺了七萬五千個恨他們的人，但沒有下手掠奪財物；

以斯帖就說：「如果王認為好，就請王允許蘇薩的猶太人明天也照著今天的法令去做，並且把哈曼的十個兒子掛在木架上。」

你們行事為人不要愛錢財，要以現有的為滿足，因為神自己說過：「我絕不撇下你，也絕不離棄你。」

猶太人在亞哈隨魯王各省的城市中聚集起來，為要下手對付那些圖謀加害他們的人。沒有人能在他們面前站立得住，因為各民族都懼怕他們。

連一切惡的樣式都要遠避。
