文书上写着：王准许在各城的犹大人，可以聚集起来，保护自己的性命；也可以毁灭、杀尽和灭绝那些敌对犹大人的各族和各省的势力，包括妇孺，并且可以掠夺他们的财产；

哈曼把他的富贵荣华、儿女的众多，以及王怎样使他尊大，怎样抬举他在王的众领袖和众臣仆之上的一切事，都数说给他们听。

凡是你的东西，就是一根线，一条鞋带，我也不拿，免得你说：‘我使亚伯兰发了财。’

他们把他从光明中赶到黑暗里，又把他从世界中赶出去。在本族中他无子无孙，在他寄居之地，也没有生存的人。

这是恶人从神所得的分，强暴的人从全能者所得的业。即使他的儿女增多，还是被刀剑所杀，他的子孙也必永不得饱食；他的遗族在死人中埋葬，他的寡妇也都不哀哭。

不可跪拜它们，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华你们的神是忌邪的神；恨恶我的，我必追讨他们的罪，从父亲到儿子，直到三四代。

摩西又说：“向耶和华的旌旗举手，耶和华必世世代代和亚玛力人争战。”

最后，弟兄们，凡是真实的、庄重的、公正的、纯洁的、可爱的、声誉好的，无论是什么美德，什么称赞，这些事你们都应当思念。

亚达月十四日，在书珊的犹大人又聚集起来，在书珊杀了三百人，却没有下手掠夺他们的财物。在王各省其余的犹大人，也都聚集起来，保护自己的性命，向他们的仇敌报复，杀了恨他们的人共七万五千；至于财物，他们却没有下手掠夺。

以斯帖回答：“这敌人和仇人，就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前立刻惊惶万分。

愿无人对他施仁慈；愿无人恩待他的孤儿。愿他的后人被除灭，愿他们的名字在下一代被涂抹。

因为我和我的族人被人出卖，快要毁灭，被杀尽、灭绝了。我们若是只被卖为奴婢，我也必闭口不言，但王的损失是敌人不能补偿的。”

不可以恶报恶。大家以为美的事，要努力去作。

你必从地上除灭他们的子孙，从人间除灭他们的后裔。

这事以后，亚哈随鲁王使亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼晋陞；王提拔他，使他的地位高过所有与他在一起的大臣。
