Queen Esther answered,“ If I have obtained your approval, my king, and if the king is pleased, spare my life— this is my request; and spare my people— this is my desire.

后以斯帖對曰、我若沾恩於王前、且王悅之、則請依我所求、賜我生命、依我所欲、保我民族、

對曰、如王悅施恩婢子、則俯聽我祈、宥我生命、救我民族。

后以斯帖曰、我若蒙恩於王前、王若樂允、我所欲王賜我者乃我之生命、我所求王賜我者乃我之民族、或作求王救我生命求王救我民族

Then Queen Esther answered,“ If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life— this is my petition. And spare my people— this is my request.

Then Queen Esther answered,“ Your Majesty, I hope you will be pleased to let me live. That’s what I want. Please spare my people. That’s my appeal to you.

Then Queen Esther answered,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be granted me for my wish, and my people for my request.

Queen Esther replied,“ If I have found favor with the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my request, I ask that my life and the lives of my people will be spared.

Queen Esther answered,“ If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if the king is pleased, spare my life; this is my request. And spare my people; this is my desire.

Then Queen Esther replied,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me as my request, and my people as my wish;

Then Queen Esther answered and said,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Queen Esther replied,“ If I have met with your approval, O king, and if the king is so inclined, grant me my life as my request, and my people as my petition.

Then Esther the queen answered,“ If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

then you will tell them,‘ I was bringing before the king my petition that he not return me to the house of Jonathan to die there.’”

“ Skin for skin!” Satan answered the Lord.“ A man will give up everything he owns in exchange for his life.

Then the king sent a third captain of 50 with his 50 men. The third captain of 50 went up and fell on his knees in front of Elijah and begged him,“ Man of God, please let my life and the lives of these 50 servants of yours be precious in your sight.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa ordering their destruction, so that Hathach might show it to Esther, explain it to her, and command her to approach the king, implore his favor, and plead with him personally for her people.

If the king approves of me and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and perform my request, may the king and Haman come to the banquet I will prepare for them. Tomorrow I will do what the king has asked.”

Angered by this, the king arose from where they were drinking wine and went to the palace garden. Haman remained to beg Queen Esther for his life because he realized the king was planning something terrible for him.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“ May those who love you prosper;may there be peace within your walls, prosperity within your fortresses.”Because of my brothers and friends, I will say,“ Peace be with you.”Because of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

His servants said to him,“ Consider this: we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings. So let’s put sackcloth around our waists and ropes around our heads, and let’s go out to the king of Israel. Perhaps he will spare your life.”
