“ Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

“ Go. Gather together all the Jews who are in Susa. And fast for my benefit. Don’t eat or drink anything for three days. Don’t do it night or day. I and my attendants will fast just as you do. Then I’ll go to the king. I’ll do it even though it’s against the law. And if I have to die, I’ll die.”

“ Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.”

然我不以己生為意、而貴之、惟欲盡我程途、及由主耶穌所授之職、以證上帝恩惠之福音、

蓋凡欲救其生者、將喪之、為我喪其生者、將救之、

我簡之、使命其子及眷屬、守我之道、秉公行義、致耶和華所言、悉以予之、

爾若以事耶和華為不善、今日可擇所欲事者、或爾祖在河東所事之神、或爾所居斯土、亞摩利人之神、至我及我家、必事耶和華、

約拿入邑一日之程、呼曰、越至四旬、尼尼微必傾覆矣、尼尼微民信上帝、宣告禁食、自尊逮卑、皆衣麻焉、斯音傳至尼尼微王、遂起、下位解袍、衣麻坐於灰塵、乃與諸伯出諭、布告尼尼微曰、或人或畜、牛羣羊羣、俱勿嘗食、勿食勿飲、人畜俱披麻、眾皆切求上帝、各轉離其惡途、去其手之強暴、上帝或回心轉意、息其烈怒、俾我不亡、亦未可知、

當定禁食之日、宣告肅會、召集長老、及居斯土之眾、入爾上帝耶和華室、呼籲耶和華、哀哉其日、耶和華之日伊邇、必如殲滅自全能者而來、

願全能之上帝、使爾蒙矜恤於其前、釋爾兄與便雅憫、若我喪子、則喪之耳、

越至三日、以斯帖衣朝服、立於王宮內院、在王宮相對之所、王在宮中坐其位、對於門、

宜強乃志、爾我當為我民、及我上帝邑、為大丈夫、願耶和華成其所欲、

曾為我命、以頸冒刃、不第我謝之、異邦之諸會亦然、並問安於其家中之會、

是日也、萬軍之主耶和華、詔人哭泣哀號、薙髮束麻、

蓋彼因基督之工而瀕死、不恤其生、以補爾事我之不逮、

三日不見、亦不飲食、○
