「參加婚宴的時候，不要坐在首位，因為或許有更尊貴的賓客來赴宴，

錫安的少女啊，出去看看所羅門王的風采吧！他頭上的王冠是他母親在他成婚那天，在他心中歡快之日為他戴上的。

利未人使全體民眾安靜，說：「請安靜，因為今天是聖日。不要悲傷。」

飲酒用的是各式各樣的金器皿，御酒大量供應，足顯王的慷慨。

於是，拉班就擺設宴席款待當地的人。

「天國就像一個王為兒子籌備婚宴。

你問問你的僕人就知道了。請你恩待我的部下，因為今天是好日子，求你隨手賞一點東西給晚輩我和我的部下。」

我的妹妹，我的新娘啊，我已經來到自己的園中，採了我的沒藥和香料，品嚐了我的蜂房和蜂蜜，也享用了我的美酒和鮮奶。朋友們，盡情吃喝吧。相愛的人啊，沉醉在愛中吧！

設宴歡慶，互贈禮物，賙濟窮人，以紀念猶太人在此月此日得以脫離仇敵，化憂為樂，轉悲為喜。

參孫的父親去那女子家，參孫按習俗擺設宴席。眾人看見參孫，就安排了三十個人陪他。參孫對他們說：「我出一個謎語，如果你們可以在這七天的婚宴期間猜出來，我就送你們三十件細麻衣和三十件外袍。如果猜不中，你們就要給我三十件細麻衣和三十件外袍。」他們說：「請你出謎語吧！」參孫說：「食物出自食者，甜物出自強者。」三天過後，他們仍然猜不出來。到了第四天，他們對參孫的妻子說：「你要哄你的丈夫把謎底說出來，不然我們就把你和你父親一家全燒死。你們邀請我們來，難道是要叫我們傾家蕩產嗎？」於是，參孫的妻子向他哭訴說：「你是恨我，不是愛我。你給我的族人出了謎語，卻沒有告訴我謎底。」參孫回答說：「我連父母都沒有告訴，又怎能告訴你呢？」在七天的婚宴期間，她一直在丈夫跟前哭哭啼啼。到了第七天，參孫經不住妻子的催逼就把謎底告訴了她。她把謎底告訴了她的族人。

天使吩咐我說：「你要寫下來，被邀請參加羔羊婚宴的人有福了！」他又說：「這是上帝親口說的，千真萬確。」

地上萬民便興高采烈，互相送禮道賀，因為這兩位先知曾使地上的人受苦。
