他是身体（教会）的头；他是元始，是从死人中复活的首生者，好让他在万有中居首位。

我们反而要用爱心说诚实话，各方面向着基督长进，连于元首基督，

神使万有服在他的脚下，又使他为了教会作万有之首；教会是他的身体，是那充满万有者所充满的。

作丈夫的，你们要爱自己的妻子，正如基督爱教会，为教会舍己，以水藉着道把教会洗净，使她成为圣洁，

他们唱新歌，说：“你配拿书卷，配揭开它的七印；因为你曾被杀，用自己的血从各支派、各语言、各民族、各邦国中买了人来，使他们归于神，

“食物是为肚腹，肚腹是为食物”；但神要使这两样都毁坏。身体不是为淫乱，而是为主；主也是为身体。

等候他儿子从天降临，就是神使他从死人中复活的那位救我们脱离将来愤怒的耶稣。

圣灵立你们作全群的监督，你们就当为自己谨慎，也为全群谨慎，牧养神的教会，就是他用自己血所买来的。
