Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

別醉酒了（醉中有放蕩），卻要充充滿滿地滿有聖靈。

不要醉酒，醉酒帶來放蕩，而要被聖靈充滿：

勿酗酒而蕩檢、惟充以聖神、

勿酗酒蕩檢、惟感以聖神、

勿醉酒、酒使人放肆無節、惟當感以聖神、

勿酗酒而蕩檢、當醉心於聖神；

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

Don’t fill yourself up with wine. Getting drunk will lead to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,

And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless living, but be filled by the Spirit:

And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless actions, but be filled by the Spirit:

And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit,

Wine is a mocker and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, and champions at mixing strong drink;

envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,gentleness, and self- control. Against such things there is no law.Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.

But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Don’t even eat with such a person.

Let’s walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.

For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and many people were added to the Lord.

Others, mocking, said,“ They are filled with new wine.”But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke out to them,“ You men of Judea, and all you who dwell at Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words.For these aren’t drunken, as you suppose, seeing it is only the third hour of the day.But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel:‘ It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams.Yes, and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days, I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy.

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.

“ So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming.

Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink, who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts; but they don’t respect the work of Yahweh, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.Therefore my people go into captivity for lack of knowledge. Their honorable men are famished, and their multitudes are parched with thirst.

They shall tell the elders of his city,“ This our son is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey our voice. He is a glutton and a drunkard.”

Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?Those who stay long at the wine; those who go to seek out mixed wine.Don’t look at the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly.In the end, it bites like a snake, and poisons like a viper.Your eyes will see strange things, and your mind will imagine confusing things.Yes, you will be as he who lies down in the middle of the sea, or as he who lies on top of the rigging:“ They hit me, and I was not hurt! They beat me, and I don’t feel it! When will I wake up? I can do it again. I can find another.”

Take me away with you. Let’s hurry. The king has brought me into his rooms. We will be glad and rejoice in you. We will praise your love more than wine! They are right to love you.

Yahweh of Armies will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.Yahweh their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they are like the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over his land.For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat:for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags.

But if that servant says in his heart,‘ My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken,

if anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, who are not accused of loose or unruly behavior.

Come, let’s make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve our father’s family line.”They made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father. He didn’t know when she lay down, nor when she arose.It came to pass on the next day, that the firstborn said to the younger,“ Behold, I lay last night with my father. Let’s make him drink wine again tonight. You go in, and lie with him, that we may preserve our father’s family line.”They made their father drink wine that night also. The younger went and lay with him. He didn’t know when she lay down, nor when she got up.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.

In this mountain, Yahweh of Armies will make all peoples a feast of choice meat, a feast of choice wines, of choice meat full of marrow, of well refined choice wines.

For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.

Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food. My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips,

“ Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.

and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,

Your mouth is like the best wine, that goes down smoothly for my beloved, gliding through the lips of those who are asleep.
