to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

He gave all these people so that they might prepare God’s people to serve. Then the body of Christ will be built up.

Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,

for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;

for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:

for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

to equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ,

for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,

Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.

What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.

Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service,

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.

So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

I know that when I come to you I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.Only let us hold true to what we have attained.Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ.

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves to you? It is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ, and all for your upbuilding, beloved.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church,

And say to Archippus,“ See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.”

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.

Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

For he was numbered among us and was allotted his share in this ministry.”

to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Feed my lambs.”He said to him a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Tend my sheep.”He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time,“ Do you love me?” and he said to him,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays but my mind is unfruitful.

Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.

will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory?

There is one body and one Spirit— just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
