But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

今則不然、爾托耶穌基督之恩、藉其聖血、已得化疏為親矣。

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

At one time you were far away from God. But now you belong to Christ Jesus. He spilled his blood for you. This has brought you near to God.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

But now in Christ Jesus you who previously were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.

But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.

This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away— all who have been called by the Lord our God.”

and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

bringing words of praise to their lips. May they have abundant peace, both near and far,” says the Lord, who heals them.

to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

I will say to the north and south,‘ Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel from the distant corners of the earth.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith.So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.After all, is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.There is only one God, and he makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.

Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near.

God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

And they sang a new song with these words:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying,

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead,“ Come back to God!”For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Peter has told you about the time God first visited the Gentiles to take from them a people for himself.

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.

Lord, you are my strength and fortress, my refuge in the day of trouble! Nations from around the world will come to you and say,“ Our ancestors left us a foolish heritage, for they worshiped worthless idols.

Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote:“ For this, I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name.”And in another place it is written,“ Rejoice with his people, you Gentiles.”And yet again,“ Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles. Praise him, all you people of the earth.”And in another place Isaiah said,“ The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on him.”

There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you.

They are ships from the ends of the earth, from lands that trust in me, led by the great ships of Tarshish. They are bringing the people of Israel home from far away, carrying their silver and gold. They will honor the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has filled you with splendor.

In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One! But my heart is heavy with grief. Weep for me, for I wither away. Deceit still prevails, and treachery is everywhere.

“ Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.

In that day the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place.

See, my people will return from far away, from lands to the north and west, and from as far south as Egypt.”

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

That is why even the first covenant was put into effect with the blood of an animal.

I will perform a sign among them. And I will send those who survive to be messengers to the nations— to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians( who are famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to all the lands beyond the sea that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. There they will declare my glory to the nations.

“ But the Lord said to me,‘ Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
