“人心比万物都诡诈，坏到极处，谁能识透呢？

判罪之后不立刻执行，所以世人满怀作恶的心思。

我专心想要明白智慧，想要明白狂妄与愚昧，方知这也是捕风。

装满了各样不义、邪恶、贪婪、恶毒，满心是嫉妒、凶杀、纷争、诡诈、毒恨，又是毁谤的、说人坏话的、怨恨上帝的、侮辱人的、狂傲的、自夸的、制造是非的、忤逆父母的、顽梗不化的、言而无信的、无情无义的、不怜悯人的。

我们从前也是无知、悖逆、受迷惑，作各样私欲和宴乐的奴隶，在恶毒、嫉妒中度日，是可恨的，而且彼此相恨。

尘土仍归于地，像原来一样，气息仍归于赐气息的上帝。

他却为自己的过犯受了责备，而那不能说话的驴以人的声音阻止了先知的狂妄。

何况那污秽可憎，喝罪孽如水的世人呢！

保罗这样申诉时，非斯都大声说：“保罗，你疯了！你的学问太大，反使你疯了！”

他醒悟过来，就说：‘我父亲有多少雇工，粮食有余，我倒在这里饿死吗？

他们怒气填胸，彼此商议怎样对付耶稣。

耶和华闻了那馨香之气，耶和华心里说：“我不再因人的缘故诅咒土地，因为人从幼年就心里怀着恶念；我也不再照我曾做的毁灭一切生物了。

在各会堂，我屡次用刑强迫他们说亵渎的话，我非常厌恶他们，甚至追逼他们，直到外邦的城镇。”

耶和华见人在地上罪大恶极，终日心里所想的尽都是恶事，
