This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of people, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead.

因為沒有迅速執行對惡行的判決，所以世人的心裡就充滿了作惡的念頭；

我用心去明白智慧，明白狂妄和愚昧，卻明白了這也是捕風。

他們充滿了各種不義、邪惡、貪心、惡毒；滿心是嫉妒、凶殺、紛爭、欺詐、狠毒；他們搬弄是非、誹謗人、憎恨神、侮慢人、驕傲、自誇、製造惡行、悖逆父母、愚昧無知、不守信用、沒有親情、毫無憐憫。

其實，我們從前也是無知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各種欲望和享樂的奴僕，活在惡毒和嫉妒中，是可憎惡的，又彼此相恨。

那時塵土要歸回大地，像原來那樣；靈也要歸回賜靈的神。

卻為自己的過犯受了責備：一頭不能說話的驢，竟用人的聲音說出話來，攔阻了這先知的狂妄。

保羅這樣申辯的時候，菲斯特斯大聲說：「保羅，你瘋了！你學問太大，使你癲狂了。」

可是他醒悟過來的時候，就說：『我父親那麼多的雇工都食物充足，我卻要在這裡餓死嗎？

他們就滿腔怒火，彼此商量到底怎麼對付耶穌。

惡人因自己的惡行被推倒，義人在臨死時有投靠。

我轉去用心了解、探察、尋求智慧和事理，為要明白邪惡是愚昧的、愚昧是狂妄的。

看哪，我在罪孽裡出生；我母親懷胎時，我就在罪中！

每個人的命運都是一樣的：義人與惡人，好人與壞人，潔淨的與不潔淨的，獻祭的與不獻祭的都有一樣的命運。好人怎樣，罪人也怎樣；起誓的怎樣，怕起誓的也怎樣。

因為從心裡發出種種惡念：殺人、通姦、淫亂、偷竊、做偽證、毀謗，這些才會使人汙穢；而不洗手就吃飯，不會使人汙穢。」

主的一位天使立刻擊打希律，因為他沒有把榮耀歸給神。他被蟲咬蝕，就斷了氣。

耶和華聞到了那馨香之氣，就心裡說：「我絕不再因人的緣故詛咒這地，儘管人從年幼時就心懷邪惡；我也絕不再像我曾做的，毀滅所有的活物。

我在各會堂裡，經常用刑逼他們說褻瀆的話，又越發惱恨他們，甚至到國外的城市去逼迫他們。

耶和華看到人在地上罪惡深重，而且人心裡的每個意念動機終日都是邪惡的。
