Who is like the wise? Who knows the explanation of things? A person’s wisdom brightens their face and changes its hard appearance.

Who is like a wise person? Who knows how to explain things? A person’s wisdom makes their face bright. It softens the look on their face.

How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.

於是、公會中坐者、皆目注士提反、見其容若天使然、

其容強悍、不眷顧耆老、不矜恤幼稚。

爾當知經預言、非人所能也、

知智愈乎愚、光愈乎暗。智者明目、愚人行暗、及其終也、何異之有。

惟主左右我、剛健我、使我足傳道、俾異邦人聞之、我得救出於獅口、

我尼布甲尼撒已得此夢、國中哲士、咸不能解其兆、惟爾伯底沙撒為至聖上帝之神所感、盍以兆告余、但以理亦名伯底沙撒、一聞我言、不覺驚駭竟晷、中心鬱陶、余曰、伯底沙撒勿為余夢及兆、鬱伊不止、對曰、願此夢之兆、應於敵人、勿為王躬之咎、

智者見道於目前、愚者放心於天外、

如爾尊道、則尊榮必矣、如爾受道、則英華必矣、猶戴花冠、猶加榮冕。

摩西與耶和華言時、容光激射、而不自覺、手執法碑二、下西乃山。亞倫及以色列族見之、則畏避遙立。

今祭司諸長恐喝我、求主鑒之、俾僕侃侃傳道、

眾見彼得約翰、侃侃如也、識其未學蚩氓、異之、又知其從耶穌、

時有使者、才德異眾、以上帝之道明示之、

當前變化、面耀如日、衣皎有光、

亦為我求、得啟口侃侃傳道、闡福音之奧、

惟天上上帝、以秘奧示人、今將以末日之事告王、王卧於榻、中宵得夢、我試言之、王寢時、思未來事、上帝能顯諸隱、以末日之事示王、非我較天下人有智、惟上帝以此秘奧示我、遣我以兆告王、使王追憶前事、

法老謂約瑟曰、我得一夢、無人識其兆、或告我言爾聞夢即識其兆、約瑟對曰、非臣所能知也、願上帝以平康之兆、賜於法老。

法老謂臣曰、如此之人、蒙上帝之神賦之、豈易得乎。又謂約瑟曰、上帝既以此示汝、故爾智慧、無人可與比儗。

玩味箴言之微旨、可悟賢人之隱語。

我所言、非世人之智所教、乃聖神所教、即以神言傳神道、然未化之人、不受上帝聖神之道、而視為不智、且亦不能識、必聖神助之、乃能忖度焉、惟感聖神之人、忖度萬理、自不被人忖度、誰知主心能教之乎、吾儕乃得基督之心也、

智者必有勇、壯夫為之辟易。

曰、我儕得夢、無人能占其兆。約瑟曰、占其兆者、由於上帝所示、請述其詳。

告但以理曰、爾之上帝、能以斯秘奧、宣示於爾、誠為諸上帝之上帝、諸王之主、能闡幽微、物無遁情、
