Who[ is] as the wise[ man]? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

有智之人、明足以察萬理、光華見於面、無不燭照、變剛為柔、孰能與於斯。

Who is like the wise? Who knows the explanation of things? A person’s wisdom brightens their face and changes its hard appearance.

Who is like a wise person? Who knows how to explain things? A person’s wisdom makes their face bright. It softens the look on their face.

Who is like the wise? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, and the hardness of his face is changed.

How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.

Who is like the wise person, and who knows the interpretation of a matter? A person’s wisdom brightens his face, and the sternness of his face is changed.

Who is like the wise person and who knows the meaning of a matter? A person’s wisdom illuminates his face and makes his stern face brighten up.

Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, And the sternness of his face is changed.

This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise[ men] of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou[ art] able; for the spirit of the holy gods[ is] in thee.Then Daniel, whose name[ was] Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream[ be] to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

Wisdom[ is] before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool[ are] in the ends of the earth.

Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came[ into thy mind] upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for[ any] wisdom that I have more than any living, but for[ their] sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and[ there is] none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee,[ that] thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying,[ It is] not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find[ such a one] as this[ is], a man in whom the Spirit of God[ is]?And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this,[ there is] none so discreet and wise as thou[ art]:

To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know[ them], because they are spiritually discerned.But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

A wise man[ is] strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and[ there is] no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them,[ Do] not interpretations[ belong] to God? tell me[ them], I pray you.

The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth[ it is], that your God[ is] a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
