So I began to despair about all the fruit of my labor for which I worked so hard on earth.

故此，我转想我在日光之下所劳碌的一切工作，心便绝望。

我转想我在日光之下所劳碌的一切工作，心就绝望。

我转想我在日光之下所劳碌的一切工作，心就绝望。

因此，我对自己在日光之下一切的劳碌感到绝望。

于是我转念，对日光之下我所劳碌的一切，心感绝望；

于是我回顾我在日光之下劳苦所做的一切工，就心感绝望；

故此，我轉想我在日光之下所勞碌的一切工作，心便絕望。

我轉想我在日光之下所勞碌的一切工作，心就絕望。

我轉想我在日光之下所勞碌的一切工作，心就絕望。

因此，我對自己在日光之下一切的勞碌感到絕望。

於是我轉念，對日光之下我所勞碌的一切，心感絕望；

故此我轉想：為了我在日光之下辛辛苦苦勞碌得來的一切，我的心便絕望了。

於是我回顧我在日光之下勞苦所做的一切工，就心感絕望；

我遂轉念、於日下勞力之操作、使心失望、

可知經營百事、絕無餘望。

於是我念及我在日下勞碌經營、我則失望、

So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun.

So I began to lose hope because of all my hard work on this earth.

So I turned about and gave my heart up to despair over all the toil of my labors under the sun,

So I gave up in despair, questioning the value of all my hard work in this world.

So I began to give myself over to despair concerning all my work that I had labored at under the sun.

Therefore I completely despaired over all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun.

Therefore I turned my heart and despaired of all the labor in which I had toiled under the sun.

Therefore I turned about to cause my heart to despair concerning all the labor wherein I had labored under the sun.

So I began to give myself over to despair concerning all my work that I had labored at under the sun.

Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I took under the sun.

Therefore I began to cause my heart to despair concerning all the labor in which I had labored under the sun.

Surely people go through life as mere ghosts. Surely they accumulate worthless wealth without knowing who will eventually haul it away.”But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope!

My days have passed, my plans are shattered, even the desires of my heart.These men change night into day; they say,‘ The light is near in the face of darkness.’If I hope for the grave to be my home, if I spread out my bed in darkness,If I cry to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My Mother,’ or‘ My sister,’where then is my hope? And my hope, who sees it?

May the sovereign God grant you mercy before the man so that he may release your other brother and Benjamin! As for me, if I lose my children I lose them.”

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, regarding the affliction that happened to us in the province of Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of living.Indeed we felt as if the sentence of death had been passed against us, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.He delivered us from so great a risk of death, and he will deliver us. We have set our hope on him that he will deliver us yet again,

so that no one would be shaken by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this.For in fact when we were with you, we were telling you in advance that we would suffer affliction, and so it has happened, as you well know.

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.
