Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.

我便看出智慧胜过愚昧，如同光明胜过黑暗。

我领悟到智慧胜过愚昧，如同光明胜过黑暗。

於是我看出智慧勝過愚昧，如同光明勝過黑暗。

我領悟到智慧勝過愚昧，如同光明勝過黑暗。

於是我看出智慧勝過愚昧，如同光明勝過黑暗一樣。

我便看出智慧有長處、勝過愚昧，正如光有長處勝過黑暗。

這樣我就看到：智慧勝過愚昧，就像光明勝過黑暗。

我知智愈於愚、猶光愈於暗、

知智愈乎愚、光愈乎暗。

我雖見智慧勝於愚昧、如光明勝於幽暗、

I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness.

I saw that wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.

Then I saw that there is more gain in wisdom than in folly, as there is more gain in light than in darkness.

I thought,“ Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.

And I realized that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom surpasses foolishness as light surpasses darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.

And I realized that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.

I realized that wisdom is preferable to folly, just as light is preferable to darkness:

Then I saw that wisdom excels folly, as far as light excels darkness.

Wisdom[ is] good with an inheritance: and[ by it there is] profit to them that see the sun.For wisdom[ is] a defence,[ and] money[ is] a defence: but the excellency of knowledge[ is, that] wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great[ is] that darkness!

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now[ are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when[ thine eye] is evil, thy body also[ is] full of darkness.Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

NUN. Thy word[ is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Then said I, Wisdom[ is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom[ is] despised, and his words are not heard.

Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

How much better[ is it] to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Wisdom[ is] better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Truly the light[ is] sweet, and a pleasant[ thing it is] for the eyes to behold the sun:

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget[ it] not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.Wisdom[ is] the principal thing;[ therefore] get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty[ men] which are in the city.

But the path of the just[ is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.The way of the wicked[ is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
