Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all[ was] vanity and vexation of spirit, and[ there was] no profit under the sun.

但当我回顾我手所做的一切事，以及我劳苦所做的工，看哪，全是虚空，全是捕风！在日光之下毫无益处。

但當我回顧我手所做的一切事，以及我勞苦所做的工，看哪，全是虛空，全是捕風！在日光之下毫無益處。

我觀我手所作諸工、及勞力之操作、乃知悉屬虛空、莫非捕風、於日下無所裨益、○

由後而觀、覺勞而得者、莫非捕風捉影、於事無益、

厥後我觀我手所經營一切、及我所勞碌而得者、乃知皆屬於虛、皆如捕風、在日下毫無所益、○

Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

But then I looked over everything my hands had done. I saw what I had worked so hard to get. And nothing had any meaning. It was like chasing the wind. Nothing was gained on this earth.

Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun.

But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless— like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere.

When I considered all that I had accomplished and what I had labored to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind. There was nothing to be gained under the sun.

So I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold, all was futility and striving after wind, and there was no benefit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done And on the labor in which I had toiled; And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind. There was no profit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do; and, behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.

When I considered all that I had accomplished and what I had labored to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind. There was nothing to be gained under the sun.

Yet when I reflected on everything I had accomplished and on all the effort that I had expended to accomplish it, I concluded:“ All these achievements and possessions are ultimately profitless– like chasing the wind! There is nothing gained from them on earth.”

Then I looked at all the works that my hands had worked, and at the labor that I had labored to do; and behold, all was vanity and a chasing after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all[ is] vanity and vexation of spirit.

What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?

For all that[ is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold,[ it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Behold,[ is it] not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?

Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun[ is] grievous unto me: for all[ is] vanity and vexation of spirit.Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise[ man] or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This[ is] also vanity.Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I took under the sun.For there is a man whose labour[ is] in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it[ for] his portion. This also[ is] vanity and a great evil.For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?For all his days[ are] sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.

And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.
