That’s what you have decided to do for the land.You water its rows. You smooth out its bumps. You soften it with showers. And you bless its crops.You bring the year to a close with huge crops. You provide more than enough food.The grass grows thick even in the desert. The hills are dressed with gladness.The meadows are covered with flocks and herds. The valleys are dressed with grain. They sing and shout for joy.

So he went to the man who took care of the vineyard. He said,‘ For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree. But I haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

The ax is ready to cut the roots of the trees. All the trees that don’t produce good fruit will be cut down. They will be thrown into the fire.
