The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

The hearts of wise people lead them on the right path. But the hearts of foolish people take them down the wrong path.

A wise man’s heart inclines him to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes the wrong one.

A wise person’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish person’s heart directs him toward the left.

A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, But a fool’s heart at his left.

A wise person’s good sense protects him, but a fool’s lack of sense leaves him vulnerable.

yet the fool multiplies words. No one knows what will happen, and who can tell anyone what will happen after him?

I will do this,’ he said.‘ I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones and store all my grain and my goods there.Then I’ll say to myself,“ You have many goods stored up for many years. Take it easy; eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.”’“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared— whose will they be?’

Why does a fool have money in his hand with no intention of buying wisdom?

“ For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?Otherwise, after he has laid the foundation and cannot finish it, all the onlookers will begin to ridicule him,saying,‘ This man started to build and wasn’t able to finish.’“ Or what king, going to war against another king, will not first sit down and decide if he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one who comes against him with twenty thousand?If not, while the other is still far off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.

The sensible person’s wisdom is to consider his way, but the stupidity of fools deceives them.

If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen its edge, then one must exert more strength; however, the advantage of wisdom is that it brings success.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.
