爾往集以色列長老謂之曰、耶和華爾列祖之天主、亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、顯現於我云、我眷顧爾、爾於伊及所受之虐待、或作伊及人待爾如何我已鑒之、

公義之主、鑒察惡人之家、將惡人投於禍患、或作善人觀惡人之家知惡人必陷於禍患

昔主誓爾列祖以流乳與蜜之地賜爾、即迦南族赫族亞摩利族希未族耶布斯族之地、主導爾入斯地時、當於是月守此禮、

爾不以金購香品奉我、不以犧牲之脂供我、惟屢干罪戾以煩瀆我、增益愆尤、使我難忍、惟我、惟我為己榮塗抹爾之愆尤、不念爾之罪惡、

昔我顯現於亞伯拉罕以撒雅各、彼但知我名為全能之天主、惟我耶和華之名、彼不得知、我又與彼立約、以其所旅之地、即迦南地賜之、今伊及人使以色列人服役、我已聞其哀號、我亦追念我所立之約、緣此爾當告以色列人曰、主云我乃耶和華、我必拯爾脫伊及人所加爾之重負、救爾罷其苦役、施展大能、降重災於伊及人、救贖爾曹、我必以爾為我民、而我將為爾天主、使爾知我耶和華乃爾之天主、救爾脫伊及人所加爾之重負、我昔誓賜亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、我必導爾至彼、賜爾為業、我乃耶和華也、

莫傚其列祖違背叛逆、居心不中正、向天主意不誠實、

又曰、我乃爾父之天主、亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、摩西蔽面、不敢觀天主、

求主憶念主之僕亞伯拉罕以撒以色列、昔主指己而與之誓云、我必使爾後裔如天星之多、所許之全地、必賜爾後裔以為永業、

求我主勿以此匪人拿八為意、其性與其名相稱、彼名拿八、譯即愚妄之義所行愚妄、昔我主大衛所遣之少者、婢未曾見、

求主因主之名勿棄我、勿辱主之榮位、主曾與我立約、求主憶之莫廢、

摩西復覲主曰、斯民獲大罪、為己鑄金神、今求主免其罪、不然、求主塗抹我名於主所錄之册、

民曰、天主歟、何神能比主、主之遺民、主之遺民原文作主業之遺餘者有愆尤罪惡、主乃赦宥之、主以矜憫為悅、不恆懷怒、主必復矜憫我、除我愆尤、以民之諸罪、投諸深淵、

主曰、當是日是時、雖尋以色列之愆尤、亦無所有、雖尋猶大之罪戾、亦無所見、因我所存之民、我必赦之、
