你斥责了列国，消灭了恶人，抹掉了他们的名号，直到永永远远。

愿他的后代被剪除，他们的名号在下一代被抹掉。

记念义人带来祝福，恶人的名却必朽烂。

那个人从里面回答说：‘请不要烦扰我。门已经关上了，我与孩子们也已经上了床，不能起来拿给你。’我告诉你们：即使不因着是朋友而起来拿给他，还是会因着他毫无羞愧地求，就起来把他所要的拿给他。“我还告诉你们：不断祈求吧，就会给你们；不断寻找吧，就会找到；不断敲门吧，就会为你们开门。因为凡祈求的，就得到；寻找的，就找到；敲门的，就为他开门。

那得胜的，将要同样穿上白衣，我绝不从生命册上抹去他的名字；而且我将要在我父面前、在我父的众天使面前，承认他的名字。

“你们这些顽固不化、心和耳都未受割礼的人哪，你们总是抗拒圣灵！你们的祖先怎样，你们也怎样。

耶路撒冷啊！我在你城墙上指派了守望的，他们整日整夜一直不静默。记念耶和华的啊！你们不要静息，也不要让他静息，直到他坚立耶路撒冷，使耶路撒冷在地上成为受人赞美的。

耶稣对他们讲了一个比喻，说他们必须常常祷告，不要丧胆。他说：“某城里有一个审判官，他既不敬畏神，也不尊重人。那城里有一个寡妇，经常到他那里去，说：‘请为我向我的对头讨个公道。’“法官一直不肯，但是后来心里说：‘即使我不敬畏神，也不尊重人，还是因为这寡妇不断地烦扰我，我就为她讨个公道，免得她一直来，到最后使我疲惫不堪！’”主接着说：“你们当听这个不公义的审判官所说的！难道神绝不会给那些他所拣选、日夜向他呼求的人主持公道吗？难道神会耽误帮助他们吗？我告诉你们：他会很快地给他们主持公道。不过人子回来的时候，难道在地上能找到这样的信仰吗？”
