At the end of the forty days and forty nights, the Lord gave me the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant.

The 40 days and 40 nights came to an end. Then the Lord gave me the two stone tablets. They were the tablets of the covenant law.

And at the end of forty days and forty nights the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.

我上了山，要領受兩塊石版，就是耶和華與你們立約的版。那時我在山上住了四十晝夜，沒有吃飯，也沒有喝水。

有金香壇和四周包金的約櫃，櫃裏有盛嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那根發過芽的杖和兩塊約版；

如今耶穌已經得了更優越的事奉，正如他作更美之約的中保；這約原是憑更美之應許立的。第一個約若沒有瑕疵，就無須尋求第二個約了。所以上帝指責他們說：「主說，看哪，日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新的約；不像我拉着他們祖宗的手領他們出埃及地的時候，與他們所立的約；因為他們不恆心守我的約，所以我也不理他們；這是主說的。主又說：那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們的心思裏，寫在他們的心上；我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。

以色列人離開耶和華的山，往前行了三天的路程。耶和華的約櫃在前面行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安歇的地方。
