因為祂要帶你們到一個佳美之地。那裡的谷中和山間流淌著條條溪流、股股清泉；

因为耶和华你神领你进入美地，那地有河，有泉，有源，从山谷中流出水来。

主爾之天主導爾入美地、無論平原山地、皆有水流湧出、有泉有河有湖、

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land— a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills;

長久居住在耶和華起誓賜給你們祖先及其後裔的奶蜜之鄉。那片土地不像你們離開的埃及。在埃及你們撒種後，要像澆菜園一樣辛勤灌溉。而你們將要佔領的那片土地卻有山有谷，雨水充足，你們的上帝耶和華從歲首到年終時時看顧那裡。

那日我向他們起誓，要帶領他們離開埃及，到我為他們預備的奶蜜之鄉，世上最佳美的地方。

「你們的上帝耶和華將帶你們進入祂向你們祖先亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各起誓要賜給你們的土地。那裡的宏偉城邑不是你們建造的，滿屋的美物不是你們積攢的，井不是你們挖掘的，葡萄園和橄欖樹也不是你們栽種的。你們在那裡吃飽喝足之後，

我下來是要從埃及人手中救他們，帶他們離開那裡，到一個遼闊肥沃的奶蜜之鄉，就是現在迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人居住的地方。

你眷顧大地，降下沛雨，使土地肥沃富饒。上帝啊，你使江河湧流不息，澆灌大地，為世人預備五穀。你降下甘霖，澆透壟溝，滋潤壟背，使地鬆軟、長出莊稼。你賜下豐年福月，你的腳蹤恩澤滿溢。曠野的草地生機盎然，山嶺間充滿歡樂，草場遍佈羊群，谷中長滿莊稼，處處歡歌笑語。

他們的子孫進去佔領了那地方，你在他們面前制伏了那裡的迦南人，把迦南諸王和那地方的人交在他們手裡，任由他們處置。他們奪取堅固的城池、肥沃的土地、裝滿美物的房屋、挖好的水井、葡萄園、橄欖園以及各樣的果樹。他們吃得飽足，身體發胖，享受你的厚恩。
