This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire.

So here is what you must do to those people. Break down their altars. Smash their sacred stones. Cut down the poles they use to worship the female god named Asherah. Burn the statues of their gods in the fire.

But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and chop down their Asherim and burn their carved images with fire.

This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.

Instead, this is what you are to do to them: tear down their altars, smash their sacred pillars, cut down their Asherah poles, and burn their carved images.

你们要把你们赶走的列国的人事奉神的地方，无论是在高山上，在山冈上，或是在各青翠树下，都要完全毁坏；也要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的神柱；用火焚烧他们的亚舍拉，砍倒他们的神的雕像，并且把他们的名字从这地方除灭。

他们的神像，你们要用火焚烧；神像上的金银，你不可贪爱，也不可据为己有，免得你因此陷入网罗；因为这是耶和华你的神厌恶的。

他把亚舍拉像从耶和华殿里搬走，拿到耶路撒冷外的汲沦溪去，在汲沦溪把它烧毁，磨碎成灰，把灰撒在平民的坟墓上。他拆毁在耶和华殿内男性庙妓的房屋，就是妇女为亚舍拉编织袍子的地方。他又从犹大各城把祭司们召来，污秽祭司们焚香的邱坛，从迦巴直到别是巴。他又拆毁设在城门的邱坛，就是在市长约书亚门的出入处，在城门的左边。但是邱坛的祭司不会登上在耶路撒冷耶和华的祭坛，他们只是在他们的兄弟中间吃无酵饼。他又污秽在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不许人在那里将儿女焚烧献给摩洛（“将儿女焚烧献给摩洛”直译是“使儿女经过进入火中给摩洛”）。他又除去犹大列王献给日头的马匹；这些马匹是在耶和华殿的入口处，靠近太监拿单．米勒在院子里的住宅。他又把献给日头的战车用火烧掉。他又把亚哈斯的楼房顶上，犹大列王所做的祭坛，和玛拿西在耶和华殿的两院中所做的祭坛拆毁，就地打碎，把它们的灰尘倒进汲沦溪去。在耶路撒冷东面、橄榄山南面的邱坛，就是以色列王所罗门为西顿人可憎的神亚斯他录、摩押人可憎的神基抹，和亚扪人可憎的神米勒公所筑的邱坛，王都污秽了。他又打碎神柱，砍下亚舍拉，把死人的骨头布满那个地方。

我把你们的罪，就是你们铸造的牛犊，拿去用火烧了，又把它捣碎，磨成细粉，像灰尘一样；我把这灰尘撒在从山上流下来的溪水中。

又把他们所做的那牛犊拿过来，用火焚烧，磨到粉碎，撒在水面上，让以色列人喝。

当夜，耶和华对基甸说：“取你父亲的牛和另一头七岁大的牛来，拆毁你父亲的巴力祭坛，砍下坛旁的亚舍拉。在这坚固的地方上面，你要整整齐齐为耶和华你的神筑一座祭坛，拿第二头牛作燔祭，用你砍下来的亚舍拉作柴。”

“你们不可为自己做偶像，不可为自己立雕像或神柱，也不可在你们的境内安置石像，向它跪拜；因为我是耶和华你们的神。

也不可为自己竖立神柱，这是耶和华你的神所恨恶的。”
