耶和華曾諭以色列人云、勿與彼族往來相通、彼必誘惑爾心、俾從其神、然所羅門戀愛其女、

勿與居民立約、恐彼狥欲、從其神而獻祭、招爾共食祭品、而爾取其女妻爾子、其女狥欲從其神、使爾子亦狥欲從之、

時、我見猶大人、娶亞實突亞捫摩押之女為室、其子女所言者、半屬亞實突方言、猶大方言則不能、惟言諸族方言而已、我則斥之、詛之、撻其數人、拔其髮、使指上帝而誓、必不以己女嫁其子、不娶其女為妻為媳、謂之曰、以色列王所羅門、非因此而犯罪乎、彼在列國中、無王可比、上帝愛之、立為以色列王、然異邦之女誘之干罪、我豈聽爾行此大惡、娶異邦之女、干犯我上帝乎、

斯事既畢、諸牧伯就我曰、以色列眾、及祭司利未人、未與斯土之民絕交、效迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人、行其可憎之事、娶其女為妻為媳、致使聖民與諸族相雜、牧伯民長為其首惡、

爾若轉而合於爾中遺民、與之嫁娶往來、則當確知爾上帝耶和華、必不復逐斯民於爾目前、彼必於爾為網羅、為機檻、脇下之鞭、目中之刺、迨爾滅亡、於爾上帝耶和華所賜之美地、

勿與不信者耦、蓋義與不義、何侶之有、光與暗、何交之有、基督與惡者、何契之有、信者與不信者、何與之有、上帝殿與偶像、何同之有、我儕乃維生上帝殿、如上帝曰、我將居其中、遊其間、我為彼上帝、彼為我民、故曰、爾宜出厥中而自別、勿捫不潔、我則納爾、

取其女為妻、以女嫁其子、崇事其神、○以色列人行耶和華所惡、忘其上帝耶和華、而崇事諸巴力、暨木偶、

上帝子見其豔麗、隨意遴選、娶以為室、耶和華曰、人既屬乎形軀、我神必不恆居其中、然其時日、尚可延至一百二十年、
