不可与他们通婚，不可把你的女儿嫁给他们的儿子，也不可为你的儿子娶他们的女儿。

Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons,

关于这些国家的人，耶和华曾经吩咐以色列人：“你们不可与他们往来通婚，否则他们必会引诱你们的心，去随从他们的神。”但所罗门深深爱恋这些女子。

恐怕你与那地的居民立约，他们随从自己的神行邪淫，给自己的神献祭的时候，有人叫你，你就吃他的祭物；又恐怕你给你的儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿随从自己的神行邪淫的时候，使你的儿子也随从她们的神行邪淫。

那些日子，我也发现有些犹大人娶了亚实突、亚扪和摩押的女子为妻。他们的儿女有一半说亚实突话，其他就说他们民族的语言，他们却不会说犹大话。我就责备他们，咒诅他们，击打他们中间的几个人，拔下他们的头发，叫他们指着神起誓，说：“你们决不可把自己的女儿嫁给他们的儿子，也决不可为儿子或为自己娶他们的女儿。以色列王所罗门不是在这些事上犯了罪吗？在许多国中并没有一个王能比得上他的；他蒙他的神所爱，神立他作全以色列的王，可是连他也被外族的女子引诱犯罪。难道我们要听从你们，行这大恶，娶外族的女子为妻，对我们神不忠吗？”

“完成这些事以后，众领袖前来见我，说：‘以色列民、祭司和利未人没有从当地的民族中分别出来，他们随从迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人行可憎的事。他们为自己和自己的儿子娶了这些外族的女子为妻，以致圣洁的种族与当地的民族混杂了；而领袖和官长竟是这不忠的事的罪魁。’

如果你们转离耶和华，与你们中间剩下的这些国家的余民联络，和他们通婚，互相来往，你们就必知道，耶和华你们的神必不再把这些国家从你们面前赶出去；他们必要成为你们的网罗和陷阱，肋下的鞭和眼中的刺，直到你们从耶和华你们的神赐给你们的这美地上灭亡为止。

你们和不信的人不可共负一轭，义和不法有什么相同呢？光明和黑暗怎能相通呢？基督和彼列（“彼列”是撒但的别名）怎能和谐呢？信的和不信的有什么联系呢？神的殿和偶像怎能协调呢？我们就是永生神的殿，正如神说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们中间来往；我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。”所以，“主说：你们要从他们中间出来，和他们分开，不可触摸不洁净的东西，我就收纳你们。”

他们娶他们的女儿作妻子，也把自己的女儿嫁给他们的儿子，并且事奉他们的神。以色列人行了耶和华看为恶的事，忘记了耶和华他们的神，去事奉众巴力和亚舍拉。

神的众子看见人的女子美丽，就随意挑选，娶作妻子。耶和华说：“人既然是属肉体的，我的灵就不永远住在他里面，但他的日子还有一百二十年。”
