“也许你们心里会说，‘这些民族都比我们强大，我们怎能赶走他们呢？’

“如果你心里说：‘这些国的人比我多，我怎能把他们赶出去呢？’

「你若心裏說，這些國的人數比我多，我怎能趕出他們呢？

「你若心裏說，這些國的人數比我多，我怎能趕出他們呢？

「也許你們心裡會說，『這些民族都比我們強大，我們怎能趕走他們呢？』

“如果你心裡說：‘這些國的人比我多，我怎能把他們趕出去呢？’

『你若心裏說：「這些國的人比我多；我怎能把他們趕出呢？」

爾若意謂、此諸族較多於我、何能驅逐、

勿意謂斯民、較我眾多、曷能驅逐。

爾若意謂此諸國之民、較我眾多、何能驅逐、

You may say to yourselves,“ These nations are stronger than we are. How can we drive them out?”

You might say to yourselves,“ These nations are stronger than we are. How can we drive them out?”

“ If you say in your heart,‘ These nations are greater than I. How can I dispossess them?’

Perhaps you will think to yourselves,‘ How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?’

“ If you say to yourself,‘ These nations are greater than I; how can I drive them out?’

“ If you say in your heart,‘ These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?’

“ If you should say in your heart,‘ These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?’—

If thou shalt say in thy heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?

“ If you say to yourself,‘ These nations are greater than I; how can I drive them out?’

If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations[ are] more than I; how can I dispossess them?

If you think,“ These nations are more numerous than I– how can I dispossess them?”

If you shall say in your heart,“ These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?”

你們要奪那地，住在其中，因我把那地賜給你們為業。

探子中有人論到所窺探之地，向以色列人報惡信，說：「我們所窺探、經過之地是吞吃居民之地，我們在那裏所看見的人民都身量高大。

耶穌看出他們心中的議論，就領一個小孩子來，叫他站在自己旁邊，

恐怕你心裏說：『這貨財是我力量、我能力得來的。』

你心裏若說：『耶和華所未曾吩咐的話，我們怎能知道呢？』

你要謹慎，不可心裏起惡念，說：『第七年的豁免年快到了』，你便惡眼看你窮乏的弟兄，甚麼都不給他，以致他因你求告耶和華，罪便歸於你了。

你心裏曾說：我要升到天上；我要高舉我的寶座在神眾星以上；我要坐在聚會的山上，在北方的極處。

約瑟的子孫說：「那山地容不下我們，並且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯‧善和屬伯‧善的鎮市，並住耶斯列平原的人，都有鐵車。」約書亞對約瑟家，就是以法蓮和瑪拿西人，說：「你是族大人多，並且強盛，不可僅有一鬮之地，山地也要歸你，雖是樹林，你也可以砍伐；靠近之地必歸你。迦南人雖有鐵車，雖是強盛，你也能把他們趕出去。」

那時你心裏必說：我既喪子獨居，是被擄的，漂流在外。誰給我生這些？誰將這些養大呢？撇下我一人獨居的時候，這些在哪裏呢？

你這專好宴樂、安然居住的，現在當聽這話。你心中說：惟有我，除我以外再沒有別的。我必不致寡居，也不遭喪子之事。

你若心裏說：這一切事為何臨到我呢？你的衣襟揭起，你的腳跟受傷，是因你的罪孽甚多。
