When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations— the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you—

The Lord your God will bring you into the land. You are going to enter it and take it as your own. He’ll drive out many nations to make room for you. He’ll drive out the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. Those seven nations are larger and stronger than you are.

“ When the Lord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and mightier than you,

赶走比你们强大的民族，领你们进入他们的土地，把他们的土地赐给你们作产业，正如今日的情形。

“以色列人啊，你们要听！今天你们要过约旦河，去赶出那些比你们强大的民族。他们住在城墙高耸入云的大城里，

你们的上帝耶和华要亲自带领你们过河，在你们面前消灭那里的各族，使你们占领他们的土地。约书亚将做你们的首领，正如耶和华所言。

“你们和敌人交战时，面对比你们强大的军队及战车战马，不要害怕，因为你们的上帝耶和华与你们同在，祂曾带领你们离开埃及。

我必差遣天使走在你们前面，赶出当地的迦南人、亚摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人，

就在那天，耶和华跟亚伯兰立约，说：“我必将这片土地赐给你的后代，使他们得到从埃及河到幼发拉底河一带的土地，就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、亚摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人和耶布斯人的土地。”

后来上帝又灭了迦南境内的七族，把土地分给他们作产业。

你亲手赶出外族，把我们的祖先安置在那里；你击溃列邦，使我们的祖先兴旺发达。他们不是靠自己的刀剑征服那里，不是靠自己的臂膀得胜，而是靠你的权能、力量和恩惠，因为你爱他们。

“你们的上帝耶和华赶走他们以后，你们不要以为耶和华带领你们占领那片土地是因为你们公义，其实是因为那里的民族邪恶，耶和华才将他们从你们面前赶走。

“以色列人啊，要聆听我传授给你们的律法，要切实遵行，以便你们可以存活，并进入你们祖先的上帝耶和华赐给你们的那片土地。我吩咐你们的，你们不可做任何增减，这是你们的上帝耶和华的命令，你们要遵守。你们亲眼看见耶和华在巴力·毗珥事件中的作为，你们的上帝耶和华毁灭了你们中间所有拜巴力·毗珥的人，

你们说你们的儿女会被掳去，但我要把他们带到那里，让他们享有那片你们厌弃的土地。

你们的上帝耶和华带领你们进入并占领那片土地时，你们要在基利心山上宣告祝福，在以巴路山上宣告咒诅。

赶出所有敌人，正如耶和华所言。

你大显威严，击倒那些起来对抗你的人；你大发雷霆，他们便像枯草遇火，一烧而尽。

从他们面前赶出外族人，把外族人的土地分给他们，作为他们的产业，使以色列各支派安顿下来。

我必带领你们进入我举手起誓要给亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的那片土地，把它赐给你们作产业。我是耶和华。’”

我要派黄蜂做你的先锋，赶走那些希未人、迦南人和赫人。

因为当我把他们带到我起誓应许他们祖先的奶蜜之乡后，当他们在那里吃饱喝足后，就会嫌弃我，违背我与他们所立的约，去供奉别的神明。

“你们的上帝耶和华将带你们进入祂向你们祖先亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各起誓要赐给你们的土地。那里的宏伟城邑不是你们建造的，

祂带领我们离开埃及，为要把我们带进祂起誓赐给我们祖先的这片土地。

“你们的上帝耶和华吩咐我教导你们以下的诫命、律例和典章，以便你们在将要占领的土地上遵行。
