The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.

那麼，你們在現今以為羞恥的事上，當時得了甚麼呢？那些事的結局就是死。現在你們既然從罪裡得了釋放，作了神的奴僕，就有成聖的果子，那結局就是永生。

你們要先求他的國和他的義，這一切都必加給你們。

他使你受苦，任你飢餓，把你和你的列祖不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道人活著，不是單靠食物，更要靠耶和華口裡所出的一切話。

謙卑和敬畏耶和華的賞賜，就是財富、榮耀和生命。

只有你們緊緊倚靠耶和華你們的神的人，今日全都活著。

你們要告訴義人，他們必得福樂，因為他們必享自己行為所結的果子。

你若為人正義，你能給他甚麼呢？他從你手裡能領受甚麼呢？你的邪惡只能害像你的人，你的公義也只能叫世人得益。

如果你有智慧，你的智慧必使你得益；如果你譏笑人，你就必獨自擔當一切後果。

“以色列啊，現在耶和華你的神向你要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華你的神，行在他的一切道路上，愛他，一心一意事奉耶和華你的神，遵守耶和華的誡命和律例，就是我今日吩咐你的，為要叫你得福。
