毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I am the Lord your God. I want you to worship only me. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,

You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children, even on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

You must not worship or serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I punish the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons for the sin of the fathers who reject me,

You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;

「不可為自己雕刻神像，不可仿照任何飛禽走獸或水族的樣子造神像，不可跪拜它們，也不可供奉它們，因為我——你的上帝耶和華痛恨不貞，我必追討背棄我之人的罪，從父到子直到三四代。但那些愛我、遵守我誡命的人，我必以慈愛待他們，直到千代。

向千萬人彰顯慈愛，赦免罪惡和過犯，但決不免除罪責，必向子孫追討父輩的罪債，直到三四代。」

我向我的上帝耶和華禱告、認罪，說：「主啊，你是偉大而可畏的上帝，你向那些愛你、遵守你誡命的人信守你的慈愛之約。我們犯罪作惡，行為邪惡叛逆，偏離你的誡命和典章，沒有聽從你的僕人——眾先知奉你的名向我們的君王、首領、先祖及國中百姓所說的話。主啊，你是公義的，我們今日滿面羞愧，我們猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，以及因對你不忠而被驅散到遠近各地的以色列人都滿面羞愧。主啊，我們和我們的君王、首領、先祖因得罪了你而滿臉羞愧。雖然我們背叛了主——我們的上帝，祂卻有憐憫和饒恕之心。

不可拜別的神明，因為耶和華是痛恨不貞的上帝，祂名為『痛恨不貞』。」

『耶和華不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛；祂赦免罪惡和過犯，但決不免除罪責，必向子孫追討父輩的罪債，直到三四代。』

你恩待千萬人，也向後世的子孫追討他們祖先所犯的罪。偉大全能的上帝啊！你名叫萬軍之耶和華。

就福音而論，他們成為上帝的仇敵是為了使你們得到福音；就上帝的揀選而論，因為他們祖先的緣故，他們仍是上帝所愛的。因為上帝絕不會收回祂的恩賜和呼召。

因此，所有義人在地上所流的血，就是從義人亞伯的血，直到你們在聖所和祭壇之間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒加利亞的血，都要歸到你們身上。我實在告訴你們，這一切的罪責都要歸到這個世代。
