The Lord spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.

The Lord spoke to you face to face. His voice came out of the fire on the mountain.

The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the midst of the fire,

At the mountain the Lord spoke to you face to face from the heart of the fire.

The LORD spoke to you face to face from the fire on the mountain.

Did[ ever] people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.For who[ is there of] all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we[ have], and lived?

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw[ it], they removed, and stood afar off.And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God[ was].And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

And they will tell[ it] to the inhabitants of this land:[ for] they have heard that thou LORD[ art] among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and[ that] thy cloud standeth over them, and[ that] thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
