The Lord spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.

The Lord spoke to you face to face. His voice came out of the fire on the mountain.

At the mountain the Lord spoke to you face to face from the heart of the fire.

The LORD spoke to you face to face from the fire on the mountain.

The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire,

The Lord talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire.

Jehovah spake with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire

Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live?

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord,

Out of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder.

And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,

Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.

And you said,‘ Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man, and man still live.Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, we shall die.For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of fire as we have, and has still lived?

Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far offand said to Moses,“ You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.”The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.And the Lord said to Moses,“ Thus you shall say to the people of Israel:‘ You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven.

With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”

and they will tell the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, O Lord, are in the midst of this people. For you, O Lord, are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.
