He said to them,“ Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

The secret things belong to Yahweh our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

When you run, you will not stumble.Take firm hold of instruction. Don’t let her go. Keep her, for she is your life.

Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If therefore you won’t watch, I will come as a thief, and you won’t know what hour I will come upon you.

My son, don’t forget my teaching; but let your heart keep my commandments:for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

My son, give me your heart; and let your eyes keep in my ways.

Yes, even when I am old and gray- haired, God, don’t forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.

Come, you children, listen to me. Seek peace, and pursue it.Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

He spoke to the children of Israel, saying,“ When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying,‘ What do these stones mean?’

It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him,‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, Yahweh killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of livestock. Therefore I sacrifice to Yahweh all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’It shall be for a sign on your hand, and for symbols between your eyes; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought us out of Egypt.”

My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.

“ Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.

You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation— which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,

Be very careful, for you saw no kind of form on the day that Yahweh spoke to you in Horeb out of the middle of the fire,

Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which Yahweh your God has forbidden you.

The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do today. The father shall make known your truth to the children.

Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him shall himself be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”
