What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?

The Lord our God is near us every time we pray to him. What other nation is great enough to have its gods that close to them?

The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

What other nation on earth is like your people Israel? What other nation, O God, have you redeemed from slavery to be your own people? You made a great name for yourself when you redeemed your people from Egypt. You performed awesome miracles and drove out the nations and gods that stood in their way.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

He has made his people strong, honoring his faithful ones— the people of Israel who are close to him. Praise the Lord!

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.

He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups.Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near.Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.

I see them from the cliff tops; I watch them from the hills. I see a people who live by themselves, set apart from other nations.
