I will die in this land; I will not cross the Jordan; but you are about to cross over and take possession of that good land.

I’ll die here in this land. I won’t go across the Jordan. But you are about to cross over it. You will take that good land as your own.

Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.

I think it right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,knowing that the putting off of my tent comes swiftly, even as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.Yes, I will make every effort that you may always be able to remember these things even after my departure.

and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because you have been disobedient to Yahweh’s mouth, and have not kept the commandment which Yahweh your God commanded you,but came back, and have eaten bread and drank water in the place of which he said to you,“ Eat no bread, and drink no water;” your body will not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”

“ I have only chosen you of all the families of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all of your sins.”
