我將死在約旦河這邊，過不了約旦河。但你們必過去得到那片佳美之地。

I will die in this land; I will not cross the Jordan; but you are about to cross over and take possession of that good land.

I’ll die here in this land. I won’t go across the Jordan. But you are about to cross over it. You will take that good land as your own.

You will cross the Jordan to occupy the land, but I will not. Instead, I will die here on the east side of the river.

求你讓我過去看看約旦河那邊的佳美之地——那美好的山區和黎巴嫩。』

你可以上毗斯迦山頂，向東南西北眺望，但你不可過約旦河。

因為主管教祂所愛的人，責罰祂收納的兒子。」你們要忍受管教，上帝對待你們如同對待自己的兒子。哪有兒子不受父親管教的呢？做子女的都會受管教，如果沒人管教你們，那你們就是私生子，不是兒子。再者，我們的生身父親管教我們，我們尚且敬重他們，何況是萬靈之父上帝管教我們，我們豈不更要順服祂並得到生命嗎？我們的生身父親是按自己以為好的標準暫時管教我們，但上帝是為了我們的益處而管教我們，使我們可以在祂的聖潔上有份。

我覺得應當趁著我還在世的時候提醒你們，激勵你們，因我知道自己離世的日子已經不遠了，正如我們的主耶穌基督指示我的。我要盡力使你們在我離世以後仍然常常記得這些事。

他就對從猶大來的上帝的僕人說：「耶和華說，你違背了你的上帝耶和華的命令，沒有遵從祂的吩咐，竟然在祂禁止你吃喝的地方吃飯喝水，因此你的屍體必不得安葬在你的祖墳裡。」

『世上萬族之中，我只揀選了你們，所以我要因你們的罪惡而懲罰你們。』」
