Lest ye corrupt[ yourselves], and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

惟恐你们败坏自己，雕刻偶像，仿佛什么男像女像，

惟恐你们的行为败坏，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，无论是男像或女像，

所以不可堕落，去为自己制造任何形状的神像——男人、女人、

恐怕你们败坏自己，为自己制造偶像，制造任何神像的形象，无论是男像或是女像，

惟恐你們敗壞自己，雕刻偶像，彷彿甚麼男像女像，

惟恐你們的行為敗壞，為自己雕刻任何形狀的偶像，無論是男像或女像，

惟恐你們的行為敗壞，為自己雕刻任何形狀的偶像，無論是男像或女像，

所以不可墮落，去為自己製造任何形狀的神像——男人、女人、

恐怕你們敗壞自己，為自己製造偶像，製造任何神像的形象，無論是男像或是女像，

那是恐怕你們敗壞自己，為自己造雕像、造任何雕塑物的形像、男的或女的模形、

恐爾自敗、雕偶以仿諸像、或男或女、

恐壞爾心術、雕刻偶像、或似男女、作像像之、

恐爾自敗、為己作偶像、仿諸形像、或男像、或女像、

so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman,

Make sure you don’t commit a horrible sin. Don’t make for yourselves a statue of a god. Don’t make a god that looks like a man or woman or anything else.

beware lest you act corruptly by making a carved image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

So do not corrupt yourselves by making an idol in any form— whether of a man or a woman,

so you don’t act corruptly and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of any figure: a male or female form,

so that you do not act corruptly and make a carved image for yourselves in the form of any figure, a representation of male or female,

lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female,

lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

not to act corruptly and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of any figure: a male or female form,

I say this so you will not corrupt yourselves by making an image in the form of any kind of figure. This includes the likeness of a human male or female,

lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness[ of any thing] that[ is] in heaven above, or that[ is] in the earth beneath, or that[ is] in the water under the earth:Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me;

Thou shalt not make thee[ any] graven image,[ or] any likeness[ of any thing] that[ is] in heaven above, or that[ is] in the earth beneath, or that[ is] in the waters beneath the earth:

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image,[ or] the likeness of any[ thing], which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted[ themselves]:

And what nation[ is there so] great, that hath statutes and judgments[ so] righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

God[ is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship[ him] in spirit and in truth.

And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.These going before tarried for us at Troas.

When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt[ yourselves], and make a graven image,[ or] the likeness of any[ thing], and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:

They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God,[ be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
