About Gad he said:“ Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain! Gad lives there like a lion, tearing at arm or head.

Here’s what Moses said about Gad.“ May the God who gives Gad more land be praised! Gad lives there like a lion that tears off arms and heads.

And of Gad he said,“ Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad crouches like a lion; he tears off arm and scalp.

Moses said this about the tribe of Gad:“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad’s territory! Gad is poised there like a lion to tear off an arm or a head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

Of Gad he said,“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; He lies down as a lion, And tears the arm, also the crown of the head.

馬拿西又有支派之半、與流便伽得二支派、曾得其業、在約但東、即耶和華僕摩西所予者。

爾寛我所履之地、致無失足之虞兮、

暨都希實本之亞摩哩王西宏諸邑、至亞捫族之界。

又云、可頌美乎耶和華、閃之上帝、惟迦南必為僕、服役於閃。上帝使雅弗處閃幕、恢廓其居、迦南執其役。○

約但東、流便伽得二支派、馬拿西支派之半、持器械、能臨陣者、十二萬人。皆係武士、能守行伍、忠乃心、至希伯崙、欲立大闢為王、治以色列族、斯土餘民、亦同此心、

緣我見悅於彼兮、故特加援手、導我至安閒之地兮、

雅必禱以色列族之上帝、曰、願爾錫嘏於我、恢擴四境、眷祐乎我、免遭患難、毫無所憂。上帝允其所祈。

伽得人歸大闢、在曠野險要之地、皆英武之士、能臨陣、執干戈、貌勇如獅、足疾若鹿、首以察、次阿巴底、三以利押、四墨曼拿、五耶利米、六亞太、七以列、八約哈難、九益薩八、十耶利米、十一末巴奈、皆伽得人、武士之長、小者轄百人、大者轄千人、

流便伽得二支派、馬拿西支派之半、所有武士、能執干戈、弓矢、善戰者、計四萬四千七百六十人。與夏甲人戰、益督、拿非實、那答、助敵、戰時民籲上帝、上帝見其恃己、允其所祈、以夏甲人及助戰者付於民手、虜其牲畜、駝五萬、羊二十五萬、驢二千、人十萬、
