Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

摩西離摩押平原、耶利哥相向之所、陟尼破山、比士迦岡、耶和華以基列地、至於但境、使摩西目睹。亦以納大利、以法蓮、馬拿西之地、猶大遍境、至於外海、爰及南方、耶利哥谷之平原、即棗城、出至瑣耳、俱示摩西俾其觀瞻。耶和華諭之曰、昔我所誓亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各以地錫其後裔者即此、爾可目睹、惟不得濟。○

爾當陟比士迦巔、向南北東西而瞻望、目擊斯土、則可、惟約但之河不得而濟。

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾陟亞巴林山、觀我所賜以色列族之地、

此皆有信、雖至沒、不得所許之福、第遙望欣喜以晉接、自謂於世若賓旅、

此皆稱有信、但未得上帝所許、

當時耶和華緣爾故怒我、曰、爾不可入斯土、

摩押地、耶利哥相向之所、有亞巴林山、尼破岡、汝可陟焉、瞻望迦南、乃我所錫於以色列族為業之地。
