Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

So you will see the land, but only from far away. You will not enter the land I am giving to the Israelites.”

For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel.”

摩西自摩押平原登尼波山、陟耶利哥相對之毘斯迦巔、主以基列全地、至於但、拿弗他利全地、以法蓮、瑪拿西之地、猶大全地、至於西海、南方與平原、即巴勒瑪城耶利哥之平原、或作以及巴勒瑪城耶利哥之平原至於瑣珥、俱示摩西、使其觀之、主告之曰、昔我誓於亞伯拉罕以撒雅各曰、我以地賜爾後裔、其地即此、我使爾目睹、惟不得過約但而至之焉、

爾當登毘斯迦巔、向東南西北舉目而望、目觀其地、蓋爾必不得渡此約但、

主諭摩西曰、爾登此亞巴琳山、觀我賜以色列人之地、

此皆至死有信而未得所許者、惟遙望之、即欣喜以待、自謂在世為客旅、為寄居者、

此皆得有信之稱、但未得天主所許者、

主緣爾之故、亦怒我曰、爾亦不得入斯地、

爾登此亞巴琳山、即尼波山、在摩押地、與耶利哥相對、觀我所賜以色列人為業之迦南地、
