因昔在汛野、在迦叠米利巴水、爾曹在以色列人中違逆我、不在其中尊我為聖故、

This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.

You and Aaron disobeyed me in front of the Israelites. It happened at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin. You did not honor me among the Israelites as the holy God.

because you broke faith with me in the midst of the people of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, and because you did not treat me as holy in the midst of the people of Israel.

For both of you betrayed me with the Israelites at the waters of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. You failed to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel there.

For both of you broke faith with me among the Israelites at the Waters of Meribath-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin by failing to treat me as holy in their presence.

because you broke faith with Me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, because you did not treat Me as holy in the midst of the sons of Israel.

because you trespassed against Me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin, because you did not hallow Me in the midst of the children of Israel.

because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

For both of you broke faith with Me among the Israelites at the waters of Meribath-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin by failing to treat Me as holy in their presence.

Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

for both of you rebelled against me among the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the desert of Zin when you did not show me proper respect among the Israelites.

because you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you didn’t uphold my holiness among the children of Israel.

因為在尋的曠野、當會眾吵鬧的時候、你們違背了我所吩咐的，沒有在湧水之地會眾眼前尊我為聖。』（這些水是尋的曠野、加低斯米利巴的水。）

摩西舉手，用手杖把磐石擊打了兩下，就有許多水流了出來，會眾和他們的牲口都喝了。永恆主對摩西、亞倫說：『因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，故此你們必不得領這大眾進我所賜給他們的地。』這些水是米利巴水，因為在那裏以色列人向永恆主吵鬧，永恆主在他們中間顯示為聖。摩西從加低斯差遣使者去見以東王說：『你的邦親以色列這樣說：你知道我們所遭遇的一切艱難：

於是摩西對亞倫說：『這就是永恆主告訴我們說的：「在親近我的人中間、我要顯為聖；在各族之民面前、我要得榮耀。」』亞倫默默無言。

因為時候到了，審判必須從上帝的家起始。既先從你們起始，那麼那些硬不信從上帝福音的人、會有甚麼樣的結局呢？

『那時我懇求永恆主說：「我主永恆主啊，是你已經開始將你的至大和你大力的手顯給你僕人看的；在天上、在地上、有哪一位神能照你的作為和你大能的樣子行事呢？求你容我過去，看約但河西邊美好之地、那美好之山地和利巴嫩。」但永恆主為了你們的緣故、卻向我震怒，不聽我；永恆主對我說；「罷了；再別向我重提這事了。你要上毘斯迦山頂，舉目向西、向北、向南、向東、親眼觀看；因為你不能過這約但河了。

『亞倫將要被收殮歸他先族人了；他必不得以進我所賜給以色列人的地，因為在米利巴水的事上、你們違背了我所吩咐的。

他就對那從猶大來的神人喊着說：『永恆主這麼說：「你既違背了永恆主所吩咐的，不遵守永恆主你的上帝所囑咐你的命令，反倒回來，在永恆主告訴你不可喫飯喝水的地方來喫飯喝水；因此你的屍體不得入你列祖的墳墓。」』喫了飯喝了水之後，老神言人給所帶來的神言人豫備了驢。他就去；在路上有個獅子遇見了他，將他咬死。他的屍體被丟在路上；驢站在屍體旁邊，獅子也站在屍體旁邊。有人從那裏經過，看見屍體丟在路上，獅子站在屍體旁邊，就來，在老神言人所住的城裏述說這事。那帶神人從路上回來的神言人聽見這事就說：『這是那違背了永恆主所吩咐的神人，所以永恆主把他交給獅子；獅子撕裂他，咬死他，正如永恆主對他說過的話。』

但對萬軍之永恆主呢、你們倒要看為陰謀者，倒要以他為你們所當怕、所當畏懼的。
