必使我矢醉於血、我刃吞厥肉、即被虜見殺者之血、敵魁頭顱之肉、

我矢飲血、我刃食肉、其血即見虜被殺之血、其肉即勁敵渠魁之肉。

我使我矢飲血沈醉、使我之刀得肉餐食、飲見擄被殺者之血、食敵軍元帥頭之肉、

I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.”

I will make my arrows drip with blood. My sword will destroy people. It will kill some. It will even kill prisoners. It will cut off the heads of enemy leaders.”

‘ I will add misfortunes to them; I will use up My arrows on them.

For that day belongs to the Lord God of armies, A day of vengeance, so as to avenge Himself on His foes; And the sword will devour and be satisfied, And drink its fill of their blood; For there will be a slaughter for the Lord God of armies, In the land of the north at the river Euphrates.

therefore as I live,” declares the Lord God,“ I will certainly doom you to bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you.I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will eliminate from it one who passes through and returns.I will fill its mountains with its slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys, and in all your ravines.

And I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains,” declares the Lord God.“ Every man’s sword will be against his brother.With plague and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, It drips with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.Wild oxen will also fall with them And young bulls with strong ones; So their land will be soaked with blood, And their dust become greasy with fat.For the Lord has a day of vengeance, A year of retribution for the cause of Zion.

“ Now it will happen that, when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you,‘ For what reason has the Lord declared all this great disaster against us? And what is our wrongdoing, or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?’

Why do You hide Your face And consider me Your enemy?

“ Declare in Egypt and proclaim in Migdol, Proclaim also in Memphis and Tahpanhes; Say,‘ Take your stand and get yourself ready, For the sword has devoured those around you.’

All your lovers have forgotten you, They do not seek you; For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, With the punishment of a cruel one, Because your wrongdoing is great, And your sins are numerous.

Your arrows are sharp; The peoples fall under You; Your arrows are in the heart of the King’s enemies.

The Lord has become like an enemy. He has engulfed Israel; He has engulfed all its palaces, He has destroyed its strongholds And caused great mourning and grieving in the daughter of Judah.

So that your foot may shatter them in blood, And the tongue of your dogs may have its portion from your enemies.”
