說：「我必掩面不顧他們，看他們的結局怎樣，因為他們是反覆乖張的一代，心裏沒有忠信的兒女。

曰、我將掩面、不加眷顧、觀其終局如何、彼乃乖戾之族、無誠信之子女、

曰、我不復鑒觀以眷顧之、必俟厥後當復如何、彼乃橫逆之族、無誠信之子、

即云我將掩面不顧之、觀其終境又將如何、彼乃乖戾違拗之類、雖為子女俱無誠信、

“ I will hide my face from them,” he said,“ and see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children who are unfaithful.

“ I will turn my face away from them,” he said.“ I will see what will happen to them in the end. They are sinful people. They are unfaithful children.

And he said,‘ I will hide my face from them; I will see what their end will be, For they are a perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.

He said,‘ I will abandon them; then see what becomes of them. For they are a twisted generation, children without integrity.

He said,“ I will hide my face from them; I will see what will become of them, for they are a perverse generation— unfaithful children.

Then He said,‘ I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be; For they are a perverse generation, Sons in whom there is no faithfulness.

And He said:‘ I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be, For they are a perverse generation, Children in whom is no faith.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very perverse generation, Children in whom is no faithfulness.

He said:“ I will hide My face from them; I will see what will become of them, for they are a perverse generation— unfaithful children.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end[ shall be]: for they[ are] a very froward generation, children in whom[ is] no faith.

He said,“ I will reject them, I will see what will happen to them; for they are a perverse generation, children who show no loyalty.

He said,“ I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end will be; for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.

Jesus went on to say,“ To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to each other:“‘ We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not cry.’ (niv)

All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations—a people who continually provoke me to my very face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on altars of brick;who sit among the graves and spend their nights keeping secret vigil; who eat the flesh of pigs, and whose pots hold broth of impure meat;who say,‘ Keep away; don’t come near me, for I am too sacred for you!’ Such people are smoke in my nostrils, a fire that keeps burning all day. (niv)

And in that day I will become angry with them and forsake them; I will hide my face from them, and they will be destroyed. Many disasters and calamities will come on them, and in that day they will ask,‘ Have not these disasters come on us because our God is not with us?’And I will certainly hide my face in that day because of all their wickedness in turning to other gods. (niv)

They are corrupt and not his children; to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation. (niv)

For I know that after my death you are sure to become utterly corrupt and to turn from the way I have commanded you. In days to come, disaster will fall on you because you will do evil in the sight of the Lord and arouse his anger by what your hands have made.” (niv)

For these are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. (niv)

Why do you hide your face and consider me your enemy? (niv)

“ You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied,“ how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” (niv)

Like a wind from the east, I will scatter them before their enemies; I will show them my back and not my face in the day of their disaster.” (niv)

No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and have given us over to our sins. (niv)

Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said,“ Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” (niv)

Even if they rear children, I will bereave them of every one. Woe to them when I turn away from them! (niv)

The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.’” (niv)

But if he remains silent, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he is over individual and nation alike, (niv)

I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (niv)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (niv)

And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. (niv)
