The Lord alone guided him, And there was no foreign god with him.

The Lord alone led him; no foreign god was with him.

The Lord was the only one who led Israel. No other god was with them.

Then let them declare to them the things that are coming And the events that are going to take place.Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.’ ”

In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit; Therefore He turned Himself to become their enemy, He fought against them.Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,Who led them through the depths? Like the horse in the wilderness, they did not stumble;

Listen, Shepherd of Israel, Who leads Joseph like a flock; You who are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth!

and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, on all of the road which you have walked until you came to this place.’

To Him who led His people through the wilderness, For His faithfulness is everlasting;

And with a pillar of cloud You led them by day, And with a pillar of fire by night To light for them the way In which they were to go.

See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there is no one who can save anyone from My hand.

Teach me Your way, Lord, And lead me on a level path Because of my enemies.

Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

Then He led them with the cloud by day And all the night with a light of fire.

I, only I, am the Lord, And there is no savior besides Me.It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses,” declares the Lord,“ And I am God.
