When I have brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey, the land I promised on oath to their ancestors, and when they eat their fill and thrive, they will turn to other gods and worship them, rejecting me and breaking my covenant.

I will bring them into a land that has plenty of milk and honey. I promised the land to their people of long ago. In that land they will eat until they have had enough. They will get fat. When they do, they will turn to other gods and worship them. They will turn their backs on me. They will break my covenant.

昔爾上帝耶和華誓爾祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、賜爾以地、在彼有邑、美而且廣、爾所未建者、宅第中充以嘉物、爾所未充者、有井爾所未鑿者、有葡萄園橄欖樹、爾所未植者、既導爾入、以此與爾、食之果腹、當斯時也、爾宜謹恪、勿忘耶和華導爾出埃及、脫爾於賤役、

故我耶和華曰、肥羊瘦羊間、我將明鞫其故、

我養斯民、使得果腹、遂驕其志、忘我弗顧、

體則肥胖、容有光華、作惡勝於尋常、孤貧被控不為折中。

我降臨以拯之、脫於埃及人手、導出其境、以詣至腴至廣之地、其地產乳與蜜、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人所處者。

昔迦勒底人殲滅我民、欣喜不勝、身肥體胖、若牛得蒭、若馬長嘶。

爾食果腹、必以所賜之腴壤、頌爾之上帝耶和華。慎勿忘之、今日所垂之誡命、法度禮儀、不可違逆、既建美室以居、食而果腹、牛羊蕃息、金銀無數、所有之物、既豐且盛、恐爾驕奢、忘爾之上帝耶和華、昔導爾出埃及、脫爾於賤役、

爾施厚恩、賜其得國、恢廓腴壤、彼猶不悛厥惡、不奉事爾。

彼體胖心懵、維我悅爾律例兮、

我將脫爾於苦厄、導爾出埃及至迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人之地、其地產乳與蜜。

耶書崙體胖、桀驁不馴、肥而多脂、上帝造之、彼反違逆、上帝拯之、彼反藐視。彼崇他上帝、干厥震怒。彼事可惡之物、攖其忿懥、彼祭鬼神、不崇上帝、彼崇他上帝素所未識、初從鄰國而來、即其祖宗亦未嘗敬畏。

厥後爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入所得之土、驅逐赫人、革迦西人、亞摩哩人、迦南人比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、此七族較爾強大、

謂摩西曰、爾必返本、斯民既詣斯土、必遺棄我、背我所立之約、狥己私欲、從異邦人之上帝。其時我必震怒、遺棄斯民、不復眷顧、使其並吞於人、多更災患、彼必曰、我不蒙上帝所佑、致遭此禍。

迷於歧途者、我必追之、為人驅逐者、我必反之、裹其傷殘、扶其荏弱、強者肥者、我亦護之、俾群羊咸被德澤、

爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入腴壤、水泉溪河、深淵皆出自陵谷、

彼體胖心痴兮、厥口矜誇、

容貌肥腴、所得逾於所望兮、
