不在海外、勿意謂誰能濟海、攜之以至、俾我聽從。

不在海外、致爾自謂誰為我過海取之至、俾我得聞而行之、

Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask,“ Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”

And it isn’t beyond the ocean. So you don’t have to ask,“ Who will go across the ocean to get it? Who will announce it to us so we can obey it?”

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say,‘ Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’

It is not kept beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask,‘ Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear it and obey?’

And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask,‘ Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

Nor is it beyond the sea, that you could say,‘ Who will cross the sea for us and get it for us and proclaim it to us, so that we may follow it?’

Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say,‘ Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’

Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?

And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask,‘ Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

Neither[ is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say,“ Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”

Do not work for the food that disappears, but for the food that remains to eternal life– the food which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has put his seal of approval on him.”

Therefore I sent for you at once, and you were kind enough to come. So now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to say to us.”

They said,“ Cornelius the centurion, a righteous and God- fearing man, well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to summon you to his house and to hear a message from you.”

A vision appeared to Paul during the night: A Macedonian man was standing there urging him,“ Come over to Macedonia and help us!”

For wisdom is better than rubies, and desirable things cannot be compared to her.

How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written,“ How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news.”

The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon– and now, something greater than Solomon is here!

So he got up and went. There he met an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasury. He had come to Jerusalem to worship,and was returning home, sitting in his chariot, reading the prophet Isaiah.Then the Spirit said to Philip,“ Go over and join this chariot.”So Philip ran up to it and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. He asked him,“ Do you understand what you’re reading?”The man replied,“ How in the world can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.Now the passage of scripture the man was reading was this:“ He was led like a sheep to slaughter, and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.In humiliation justice was taken from him. Who can describe his posterity? For his life was taken away from the earth.”Then the eunuch said to Philip,“ Please tell me, who is the prophet saying this about– himself or someone else?”So Philip started speaking, and beginning with this scripture proclaimed the good news about Jesus to him.Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“ Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

My child, if you receive my words, and store up my commands within you,by making your ear attentive to wisdom, and by turning your heart to understanding,indeed, if you call out for discernment– raise your voice for understanding–if you seek it like silver, and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand how to fear the LORD, and you will discover knowledge about God.

Through loyal love and truth iniquity is appeased; through fearing the LORD one avoids evil.

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who obtains understanding.For her benefit is more profitable than silver, and her gain is better than gold.She is more precious than rubies, and none of the things you desire can compare with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.Her ways are very pleasant, and all her paths are peaceful.She is like a tree of life to those who obtain her, and everyone who grasps hold of her will be blessed.
