惟爾之上帝耶和華、為爾先導、使約書亞導爾濟河、殲滅此異邦族姓、據有其地、循耶和華言。

摩西在以色列眾前、召約書亞、告之曰、強乃志、壯乃心、昔耶和華與列祖發誓、以斯土予民、爾必偕行、使彼得之、

惟侍爾側者、嫩之子約書亞可入、當強厥志、使輔翼以色列族以得斯業。

命嫩之子約書亞曰、強乃志、壯乃心、蓋爾必導以色列族、入耶和華所誓之地、彼必佑爾。○

耶和華諭摩西曰嫩之子約書亞、其人感於神、汝可簡取、按手其上、置於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、付托以命、以汝尊榮、加諸其身、使以色列會眾、無不遵循、彼必立於祭司、以利亞撒前、以利亞撒用烏陵、諮諏我意、彼及以色列會眾、必聽斯命而出入。摩西簡約書亞立於祭司以利亞撒、及會眾前、按手其上、以命托之、遵耶和華命焉。

故告其子所羅門曰、強乃志、壯乃心、以行是事、毋畏葸、毋恐懼、我上帝耶和華祐爾、不汝遐棄、迨製耶和華殿役事之物、而竣厥工。

倘昔約書亞曾以安息賜民、則上帝必不復言異日賜之、

生萬有者上帝也、善自訴於本丟彼拉多前者、基督耶穌也、於上帝暨基督前、余命爾、當守此誡、無玷缺、無可責、迨吾主耶穌基督昭著、

我子所羅門、宜知爾父之上帝、誠心悅意事之、蓋耶和華鑒察人心、知悉人意、求之無弗得、遺之永見棄。耶和華簡爾建殿、為聖所、當謹恪、強志興作。

小子爾賴基督耶穌恩、當剛健、我於諸證者前、傳道於爾、宜托忠信者、俾能教眾、譬猶基督耶穌之勁卒、爾當勞苦、

主耶穌基督、將昭著於其國、舉生者死者而鞫之、故於上帝暨耶穌前、我諭爾、傳道不論得時不得時、專務督責、儆戒、寛容、勸誨、蓋其後、人必厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之談、狥嗜欲、多其師、背真理、向虛誕、惟爾事事勤守勞苦、傳福音、盡乃職、今我血譬諸灌奠、我逝邁之期伊邇、

召子所羅門、囑子為以色列族上帝耶和華建殿、

耶和華諭約書亞曰、我使爾為尊於以色列族前、自今日始、俾其知悉、昔我佑摩西、今必佑爾。爾當命舁法匱之祭司、至約但河、立於水濱。約書亞告以色列族曰、爾來前、聽爾上帝耶和華命。欲使爾知永生上帝左右爾、必於爾前驅逐迦南人、赫人、希未人、比哩洗人、革迦撒人、亞摩哩人、耶布士人。宇宙主宰之法匱、必先爾至約但河中。宜簡以色列族各支派中十有二人。待舁宇宙主耶和華法匱之祭司、足履約但、河水則水自溯行、其流必斷、濤若堆立。○秋約但河水漲溢、民離幕、欲濟約但、舁法匱之祭司、行於其前、至約但河、足濡於水濱、

例授自摩西、恩寵真理、則由耶穌基督、

我僕摩西逝世、爾今導民濟約但、至我所賜以色列族之地。

今願耶和華祐爾、使爾亨通、為爾上帝耶和華建殿、循其所言。願耶和華賦爾智慧、恪守其律例、用治以色列族。壯爾志、強爾心、毋畏葸、敬承耶和華命摩西傳以色列族之法度禮儀、俾爾納福。我在患難中、曾為耶和華之殿、備金一萬五千萬兩、銀十五萬萬兩、銅鐵甚多、不能權其輕重、木石我曾備之、爾益其數。亦有群匠、石工木工、及慧心人以竣厥事。金銀銅鐵無數、爾其興作、願耶和華祐爾。
